We were able to pick Royce up around 7 pm the night of the 26th, so we got to spend an extra night together! The girls were so happy to see him, they just clobbered him. Thayne, however, wasn't quite sure what exactly was going on; he thought it was best to just sit back and watch for a while.
Today we got to ride on a ferry, see Ellis Island and visit the Statue of Liberty, which Lily refers to as going to see "Liberty" on Liberty Island. We caught the ferry via Liberty State Park in New Jersey. That was some interesting driving trying to negotiate the New Jersey Turnpike, not to mention the amount of traffic! Needless to say we prefer the driving of the Midwest!
We had such a wonderful time despite the cloudy, cold and windy weather conditions!
(Sorry, no pictures of me, and few of Thayne...Royce lost his hard drive the day after we parted...while we were together we used both of our cameras, so we only have the pictures I took! :( )
